Amplify Action and Network Following the REN21 Academy
REN21 invites all attendees of the 2020 REN21 Academy to a follow-up event to support our action steps to amplify our learnings from the Academy and challenge ourselves to make a greater impact on the shift to renewables. Anna Leidreiter and Rick Torseth will frame our discussion.
- Discuss with Anna Leidreiter the drags and drivers in the uptake of renewables and how our community is poised to act on these issues.
- Hear reflections from Rick Torseth, adaptive leadership coach, on how the renewables community can use adaptive leadership to amplify our messages and move forward in concrete ways.
- Network with people from other sectors and other regions to cross-pollinate ideas and crowdsource solutions for a greater impact along multiple pathways.
RENdezvous – With this event, REN21 is launching a new series of networking opportunities for the renewables community, and this Academy Follow-Up Event is also the first of our monthly RENdezvous.

Rick Torseth, Adaptive Leadership Coach
Rick has been coaching and consulting to leaders for 25 years. The purpose of his work is to support leaders building a development practice focused on building their internal resilience to address the organization’s internal social complexity and the outward facing challenges of executing the mission. He believes capacities bear more fruit than deficiencies, so the development focus starts with talents and undeveloped potential. Rick’s client focus is NGO’s, healthcare and government. He spent eleven years developing leaders at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has co-facilitated leadership programmes in UK local government as well as NGO’s in the Middle East. He is currently the Chair of the Change Leaders, an alumni association related to Consulting & Coaching for Change MsC programme from Oxford University and HEC in Paris.
