PEER REVIEW OF THE FULL REN21 UNECE 2022 REPORT STARTS NOW

Crowd-sourced knowledge: Peer Review of the Full UNECE report 2022 starts now! 

We are happy to announce that the full draft of REN21’s UNECE Renewable Energy Status Report 2022 is now available for peer review! This review starts on June 2nd and runs until June 16th. Access the full draft of the Report here. Feel free to focus on the chapters and sections most closely aligned with your specific knowledge and expertise. The review draft includes the following draft chapters:

  1. Regional Introduction
  2. Policy Landscape
  3. Market and Industry Trends, including Bioenergy, Geothermal Power and Heat, Heat Pumps, Hydropower, Ocean Power, Solar Photovoltaics, Concentrating Solar Thermal Power, Solar Thermal Heating and Cooling, Wind Power
  4. Distributed Renewables for Energy Access
  5. Energy Efficiency
  6. Investment Flows
  7. Current Thinking about the Future of Renewables

As we hope to make the draft more accessible, we are introducing a new software for peer review. Please make sure to add your name to the comments so we can revert to you in case of questions.

As a valued member of our community from this region, we would like to draw on your expertise to make the report a truly international, collaborative effort. You might have had the chance to contribute data and information to the report – we have incorporated the depth of your contributions in this draft of the full report. The REN21 team and report authors will go through your expert feedback and integrate it into the report. You will be the first to know!

2022 UNECE RE-Uptake project 

The upcoming UNECE report and country Hard Talks fall under REN21’s activities under the 2021-22 UNECE RE-Uptake project.
