Peer Review has started!
REN21’s Renewables in Cities Global Status Report (REC) demonstrates trends and developments on policies, energy consumption and production, financing and investment in cities. The report will be published in March 2021. What you may not know is that producing the REC is a collaborative effort, involving hundreds of stakeholders from our international community of experts. And we value your input!
Through our peer review process, you too can shape the discussion on renewable energy in cities discussion. Join us.
How to access the draft report?
We invite you to comment directly on the draft which can be accessed through our collaborative platform, REN21+ at http://ren21plus.ren21.net/. You may need to create a new user account if you have never signed in before. The instructions for the peer review tool here can guide you in the process.
Please feel free to focus on the sections most closely aligned with your specific knowledge and expertise. The second Renewables in Cities Global Status Report draft includes the following sections:
01 Global Overview and the Role of Cities in the Energy Transformation
02 Urban Planning and Policy Landscape
03 Markets and Infrastructure in Cities
04 Financing and Investment in Cities
05 Citizen Participation
06 Feature: Renewable Energy in Sub-Saharan African Cities
In addition to the report draft, the Policies and Targets Database is also open for review. This can be accessed through the same link and is split up by region. Please support us in making this database complete by checking if cities in your country/region are missing and identifying information that needs to be updated.
The peer review period will last two weeks, until 2 December 2020.
