Heads of State, ministers, and negotiators, along with other stakeholders from across the world are meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, for the largest annual gathering on climate action.
Faced with a growing energy crisis and increasing extreme weather events, the COP27 seeks renewed solidarity between countries, to deliver on the landmark Paris Agreement, for people and the planet.
Along with many of our Members and Community, REN21 will seek to leverage the COP27 moment to raise and further position the agenda of renewables. Renewable energies are an essential part of the solution to the current climate crisis but also to many socio-economic challenges of the current times.
Make sure you join us to turn the tide of energy now!

Beyond COP27
The next IREC (International Renewable Energy Conference) will be in Spain
The Government of Spain teams up with REN21 to organise the next International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC) in Madrid from 21-23 February 2023.
At this international high-level policy event, REN21 invites leaders from government, the private sector and civil society to meet and discuss policies and experiences. The focus is on building collective know-how to advance renewables at the international, national and sub-national levels.
