Call for tender – REN21 Renewables 2015 Global Status Report

The Renewables Global Status Report is produced as a collaborative effort of more than 500 international experts, comprising several authors, a network of regional, technology and topical contributors, and expert reviewers. For the 2015 edition, the REN21 Secretariat is calling for tenders for the Research Direction and Lead Authorship position, as well as Lead Technology Authorships covering the renewable energy technologies (geothermal, hydropower, ocean energy, solar energy, wind power) and sectors (power, heating & cooling, transport) presented in the Renewables Global Status Report. | More information (click to download a zip file containing additional details) For further information, please contact the REN21 Secretariat. The IEA Medium-Term Renewable Energy Market Report 2014 has been launched

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has launched its Medium-Term Renewable Energy Market Report via a webinar/teleconference onThursday, 28 August 2014 at 11:00 AM (Paris time). The IEA Medium-Term Renewable Energy Market Report 2014 assesses market trends for renewables in the electricity, transport and heat sectors, identifying drivers and challenges to deployment, and making projections through 2020. The report presents for the first time an investment outlook for renewable power capacity, in addition to projections for renewable electricity technologies, a global biofuels supply forecast and extended analysis of final energy use of renewables for heat. | more information

Renewables 2014 Global Status Report Webinars

Interested in learning about results from REN21’s Renewables 2014 Global Status Report? Do you want to hear about developments in your region? If so, join us for our last GSR regional webinars on North America (8 July 2014) and on Europe (10 July 2014). Each 90 minute webinar will look in detail at the regional scale. Find out what renewable changes happened over the course of 2013; learn which technologies are contributing to increased power capacity; hear how changes in policies have affected regional investment levels and market development.

The REN21 Secretariat is looking for new interns

REN21 is looking for dynamic candidates who would like to support the activities of its secretariat in Paris during a 6 month paid internship starting 11 August 2014.
