New Opening @ REN21: Community Manager

REN21 is looking for a Community Manager to support its Secretariat in Paris. REN21’s strength comes from its multi-stakeholder network of experts that are geographically diverse and represent a wide variety of sectors. REN21’s activities and projects build on the collective knowledge and insights of these key players to advance the global transition to renewable energy. The network is also key in promoting renewables, creating discussion and debate how renewable energy can drive the clean energy transition.   Responsibilities Community/Network Management: manage and build REN21’s community in sustainable energy and related sectors; Communication: facilitate communication within the REN21 community and with external parties; and Research/project support: assist with project development and management. The successful candidate will ideally start in April 2018. Carbon Impact Selected to Author SADC Report

Carbon Impact has been selected to author the 2018 SADC Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Status Report.  This work is being carried out in partnership with the newly formed SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE).   The report document existing data on renewable energy and energy efficiency and present case studies based on  recent developments at the national or sub-regional level.   The report will build on the 2015 report produced by REN21 and the SADC Secretariat.  It will be developed over the course of 2018.   If you would like to contribute to this report, please contact us at:, putting SADC REPORT in the subject line

Call for Proposals: SADC Report Team (expired)

REN21 is looking for an authoring team to prepare a report on the status of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the SADC region.  This work is being carried out in partnership with the newly formed SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE).

Now Available: MEXIREC Conference Report

The 7th International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC), MEXIREC, was held in Mexico City from 11-13 September 2017. It was co-hosted with the Government of Mexico and was a part of “The Dialogues for the Future of Energy Mexico 2017” (DEMEX).
