14-15 February 2005: First Interim Steering Committee
Meeting in Casablanca
At the first Interim Steering Committee meeting, held in Casablanca, Casablanca, Morocco , ISC members acknowledged the value of sharing the
experiences from their diverse activities. Therefore, in order to provide
for an open exchange by all relevant parties, the Committee commissioned a
network website to be launched, enabling stakeholders to communicate,
share experiences and coordinate their activities. Participants also
decided for political Issue Papers to be produced.
As to the network structure, the Interim Steering Committee agreed on an
open, non-formalised membership mode, as well as on further elaborating
the interim Steering Committee until the next meeting. They further
recognized the need for a permanent secretariat structure and discussed
possible options.
