Ethanol Green Fuel Production in Brazil

Participating Actor(s) State and private companies, universities, banks and the same in partnership countries.
Main objective(s) To transfer technology and know how in production, processing, distribution and use of ethanol either by itself or in mixture with gasoline, laying the foundation for international trade in green fuels.
Contents Identify economical attractive regions for ethanol production and export, insert ethanol in energy mix and constitute the basis for international trade in green fuels. Set up agricultural, industrial and market chains; Determine taxation and prices; Adapt the regulatory framework for ethanol uses; Develop special financing options; Evaluate environmental impacts; Set up industrial plants on a commercial scale; Improve technological development in agriculture and industrial areas.
Expected results Diversified fuel options by including a new renewable fuel, environmentally friendly; Creation of new jobs and generation of income; Reduction of petroleum and derivatives uses.
