The
Daidalos Forum is a chance for the policy community to 'fly' new ideas and concepts,
and to cast an eye over the current policy landscape from a new
perspective. Every two months, REN21 publishes a
Daidalos Forum
column as the lead article for the
REN21 News
and Update report.
The column also appears on the REN21
home page where users can comment on the article.
Now, we all know the Greek legend of Daidalos and his son Ikaros, who
escaped from imprisonment using new and innovative technology, as well
as their own and the nature’s energy. The unfortunate Ikaros, however,
became a victim of his own youthful exuberance (and failure to listen to
his father), flying too close to the sun and melting his fragile wings.
We certainly do not want that to happen to
Daidalos Forum authors!
So we have some simple guidelines:
First, we heartily invite your participation in the
Forum - both as an
author and commentator. To comment, simply click on the button "read
more and comment" and enter your remarks in the field below the column
text. Your name will appear with your comment, while your email address
will not be publicly visible. To author a
Forum, please contact
the REN21 Secretariat at
daidalos@ren21.net.
Second, any postings with personal attacks or inappropriate language
will not be posted or will be deleted. We encourage vigorous debate, but
not personal attacks. That would be considered flying ‘too high’ and
will definitely melt the literary wings of the person posting such
material. Splash!
Third, the
Forum is only for renewable energy
policy issues. Advertising and off-topic contributions will be
considered going astray and lead to nowhere. Again, splash!
Fourth, the
Forum is not for public disclosure. To ensure the
discussions remain open and free, any discussions within the
Forum cannot be attributed to any person or organisation.
