The EU-Russia Energy and Climate Conference takes place in Moscow on 29 June 2017.
The conference aims to:
- Provide an open discussion on energy transition and climate change trends and issues between representatives of EU and Russian authorities, expert and business communities.
- Focus both on the global developments and the possible impacts of these trends on the Russian energy sector and national economy.
- Assess technical, resource saving and environmental potential and cost benefits of the energy policy, focused on energy transition, in Russia.
- Analyse technological, structural and policy challenges, barriers and opportunities.
REN21’s Executive Secretary Christine Lins will be launching the Renewables 2017 Global Status Report at the ‘Energy Transition in the World’ Session between 10:30 and 11:30.
