Become part of the GSR community of contributing researchers and reviewers
15 December 2011
After six successful editions of the REN21 Renewables Global Status Report (GSR), we are looking ahead to its seventh edition.
Since the first GSR was produced in 2005, the analysis has become the most frequently referenced report on renewable energy business and policy, just earlier this year IPCC Special Report on Renewable Energy and Climate Change introducing it as the sole source gathering worldwide renewable energy data, for OECD and non-OECD countries.
Furthering the perspectives that emerge from the GSR, REN21 has developed the REN21 Renewables Interactive Map which enables in depth country specific analysis, access to constantly updated market and policy information and detailed exportable databases.
The success of the Global Status report and the Renewables Interactive Map is primarily due to the outstanding quality of input provided by the contributors network. If you would like to be part of the GSR network as contributing researcher or reviewer please contact us at gsr@ren21.net.
The Renewables Global Status Report 2012 is scheduled for release at the beginning of June 2012 and the research process is already underway. For the upcoming edition, Janet Sawin will continue in her role as Research Director and Lead Author of the Global Status Report. In addition, we are in the process of collaborating further with section specific contributors for each major chapter and technology while simultaneously strengthening the community of the existing contributors and reviewers to the Global Status Report, but also to the Renewables Interactive Map.
We look forward to working together over the next months!
