Kevin (Kadri) Nassiep is the CEO of the South African National Energy Research Institute (SANERI), formerly the Chief Director of Minerals and Energy. He is also the current acting general manager of the National Energy Efficiency Agency. Both entities are located within the Central Energy Fund, the state-owned energy development company in South Africa.

SANERI was established in 2006 with a brief to fund public-interest energy research and development. The company has allocated R40-million to research projects, R1,5-million to bursaries, and R7,5-million to energy research chairs at local universities.
